♥ The windy City

Its 1:13 am and I am leaving to Punta Mita tomorrow at 6. It feels weird to be packing shorts and bathing suits when I just finished unpacking big heavy coats and long johns from Chicago. My trip was mostly all about family bonding time and trying to stay warm. We spent some time in the city and then headed out to meet the rest of the family in the suburbs. I’m happy it wasn’t nearly as cold as it can get but for my bony self it was cold enough. It’s always nice to retreat to somewhere that’s so different from Southern California. Waking up at 5 am and catching a glimpse of deer grazing the front lawn while squirrels are stocking up on left overs from the night before was definitely the highlight of my trip.
