How to wear black in the Summer
Yes, I feel you! Black in the Summer is challenging when it’s almost 90 degrees out. Unless you always wear black. In that case disregard what I just said. But for most of us, black is not worn that often in the Summer. I know it’s definitely not my first choice being that the color itself absorbs the most heat. Once in a while though, I kind of like how a black outfit will stand out and be more unexpected then the obvious choice of white, pastels or floral prints people heavily lean on in the Summer. It’s easy to wear, goes with everything and is always chic no matter the season.
The key to pulling off wearing black in the Summer is to stick to airy fabrics that breathe in summery silhouettes. This light top is super flowy with its bare shoulder cut and bandeau style top so I don’t feel like I’m suffocating. I normally would of paired some shorts or a cute skirt with this being that it’s been hot but these jeans are the most comfortable I own! Of course it’s always in the detail so make sure to personalize your look with some summery vibes like a bit ole hat or cute sandals.
Speaking of the jeans, 7 For all Mankind just came out with their B(air) Denim line and it feels exactly like the name… just like ‘air’. They are breathable, stretchy, comfy and flattering. I tend to wear certain pieces over and over again when I really love them and these jeans have been in heavy rotation this Summer. Seriously recommend these especially for transitioning into Fall. You can shop them below. Trust me, you’ll thank me!
