Backstage Desigual with MAC #NYFW
Finally sitting down to post my first street style outfit from NYFW. The whole week was filled with endless outfit changes for every occasion throughout the day, but here is the look I wore to my first show, Desigual. Not even gonna pretend like I’m a NYFW veteran because I’m just now getting the hang of keeping up with the fast paced world of fashion week and especially the crazy fast vibes of the city. And lets be real, I’m such a Cali chick. I mean, a “Woah NY is so not chill!” moment happened almost every day, but there’s just something about NY. It definitely is exciting, fun and always an experience. Before every fashion week there is always a moment of “Ok brace yourself, lets do this!”. As soon as you land it’s go go go and you better be sure you are taking all your vitamins and staying caffeinated throughout.
This year was exciting for me because I was invited backstage for a couple of shows with MAC and got to see the latest makeup and beauty trends hitting the runways. It was my first time backstage during New York Fashion Week and it was stimulating to see all the commotion that goes on right before the show starts. Models running around, makeup artists hurriedly wrapping up the final touches, lots of people dressed in black talking feverishly through their mics, photographers telling the models to look their way and simultaneously trying to get the best shots while weaving through the crowded room, lots of expensive camera equipment that you could easily knock down with one wrong move, and then there’s me wondering, ‘Where do I even start?’ So much to capture so little time! Kind of my motto for NYFW though. I got to interview the makeup artists, shmooze with the models and got a sneak peak at the collection before it hit the runway. All in all feeling pretty grateful that I got backstage access at Desigual with Mac this year and happy I get to share it all with you guys.
The makeup I saw backstage for the Desigual show was an all natural glowing palette which played beautifully off all the colors and textures we saw in the collection. My favorite part of was the Snapchat filter inspired makeup that Mac beautifully mastered. Such a genius idea!
