Hola Chicas ! I’ve been feeling so damn productive these last few days! The vacation was much needed and I’m ready to bust out amazing content! My birthday is tomorrow woohoo! We leave to Joshua Tree on Friday and I can’t wait for every day happening this month. There really is a lot of fun and exciting things going on!
Back to the subject at hand… ruffles. I’m normally not a huge fan of ruffles. I don’t know why I just always see it as too girly for my style. I do however LOVE the way ruffles are being incorporated into clothes this year. It’s more of an unexpected way and feels fun and playful rather than salsa dancer flamenco flirty latina sassy mama. Normally that’s a good thing but for me, I just get overwhelmed. Either way I’m a fan of the “new” ruffle. I’m talking ruffled sleeves on knits, ruffles on jean hems, ruffle detailing on skirts. As long as it’s done in a creative way I’m game. I’m sure I’m going to be wearing more ruffles this season.
Speaking of feeling overwhelmed, how awesome is this overwhelmingly huge ruffled top?!  It’s from a new favorite Australian brand of mine MLM Label (You can shop the top here).   I wore this to a holiday party last month and loved how it felt so festive. Kept it casual with these new step hem jeans from 7 For All Mankind and some velvet platform heels. Look Ma! These shoes match my hizz-air! Oh shnappp! What do you guys think of this look?
If you guys like my new step-hem jeans, stick around because I will be sharing a fun Step Hem DIY post I have been working on soon and I can’t wait to share it!
