Not so basic white button down

Not so basic white button down

corset topI wore this outfit during a busy day that started off with a quick photoshoot at 6 am followed by editing / emails,  a coffee shop meeting and ended with a date night in Little Italy with John. I loved how I was able to wear this outfit from day into the night, throughout meetings and was still comfortable and chic enough to wear to dinner with the hubby.
I believe every girl should have a good white button down in her closet. It’s one of the easiest most timeless pieces to wear and never goes out of style. The perfect white button down can cut down years of those “What do I wear ?! ” panic moments when running last minute to an important meeting, a run in with the in laws or if you simply want to look chic and put together. You can always dress up a good white blouse or dress it down. As always, it’s all in the detail!
I got this adorable off the shoulder blouse from Theory and paired it with my Zara corset belt. Sometimes I buy accessories like this belt even when I have no idea what I will wear it with, because I know that some day it will be the cherry on the cake for an outfit. I feel it goes perfectly with this top! I love how not basic this white button down is. Simple and elegant enough but on trend with the off the shoulder neckline. If you can’t find a good “not basic” button down (a.k.a, a fun cut),  then adding some fun accessories on top of it like a corset belt, a bustier or a cropped cami can easily elevate your white button down game.
What do you guys think of this look? How would you style your white button down?
