How to mix high end with low end #FVstylingtips
Hey guys! It’s been a busy busy month! This month is a lot of work but next month is a lot of play so I’m totally ok with that. One of the brands I am collaborating with this month is JCPenney. They wanted me to put together a look with one of their pieces and style it with some of my personal pieces. I love love love when brands are ok with me styling things my own way. Of course, I don’t work with brands that don’t let me have creative freedom because, otherwise I would be a robot and have no soul ( Insert sarcastic tone here). I really love when brands want to work with me because of who I am and what I create. Makes my job so much more enjoyable.
I love mixing higher-end designer pieces with low-end affordable pieces when mixing and matching an outfit together. I feel it adds more character and personality to an outfit. I know I have said this over and over again on my blog, but it’s always a sure way to make a killer outfit. Wearing head to toe designer is such a bore. I mean, anyone can look amazing in head to toe Chanel duh, but where’s that personality shining through?
So for this outfit post I want to talk about how to mix high end with low end. The trick is in finding some great affordable pieces and adding some great accessories. This blazer and bralette are both from JCPenney. I got this rad belt off a really affordable shop on etsy (I love how unique it is ) and the hat I’ve had for the longest. I elevated this low key look with some statement heels and my favorite designer bag. I guess we can say this is like a wedding day outfit. Something old, something new something borrowed, something blue. Except there is nothing borrowed here just a good mix of high end and low end ha.
