Prepping for Fall : My go-to Fall wardrobe

Prepping for Fall : My go-to Fall wardrobe

While Summer is my favorite month of the year, Fall is my favorite “fashion month”. You know what I am talking about, that perfect weather to have fun with your outfits and really mess around with layering. A well put together outfit can be easily achieved by making sure there are three pieces or more with good accessories to top it off. So naturally, Fall.. hi, you win. The weather is ideal for your favorite leather jacket and a wool hat or a textured slouchy sweater to top off your dress. Not having to freak out about it being too hot or too cold is the dream. AM I right?  So, I know it’s a bit early to be talking about Fall and all, but with all the sales going on (ehem.. NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE )  it’s the perfect time to splurge and start working that Fall wardrobe.

This look above is  the closest idea of what my go-to Fall look will be. Easy simple basics you can style different ways, topped off with an edgy and a boho twist. I want to make the most out of my wardrobe and focus on high quality neutral basics that can be worn with different outfits. What I love about this type of outfit is that it is simple, yet edgy and has just enough personality in the accessories to complete the outfit. I think the key is to wear accessories and pieces that don’t take away any credit from the person wearing it ( adding more intrigue to the personality and less intrigue about the object… if that makes sense).  Basics don’t have to be boring. They just make your life easier and help you look instantly chic a whole lot quicker. Good basics can go a long long way.
