Exploring Monterey, California #BigLittleRoadtrip
Exploring Monterey, California #BigLittleRoadtrip
Give me any excuse to go up to Big Sur and I am 100% there! I got invited up north to Monterey, Ca this month to explore its beauty and all it has to offer. I stayed with a group of other influencers, got wined and dined, and checked out all the spots where the hit HBO show ‘Big Little Lies’ was filmed. How could I say no to a trip like that? Not only am I a big fan of that show (watch it if you haven’t yet.. soo darn good!), but Nor Cal is always such a pleasure to visit. It’s absolutely beautiful up there.
I want to share with you guys what we did, what I wore, and where we ate.
First stop in our Monterey Roadtrip was Big Sur, Bixby Bridge (that bridge you see over and over again in the show) and McWay Falls ( a magical waterfall that falls on an untouched beach). We also stopped by Nepenthe cafe. If you ever go to Big Sur you have to stop here to eat. Amazing view and my favorite stop every time we go. Big Sur is so magical! Hopefully, these photos captured some of that magic.

On the second day, we took a little tour to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and I was in heaven. I had never seen so many beautiful jellyfish in my life. I took a while just staring at them in complete wonder and awe. The highlight of it was definitely the Sardine feeding! M E S M E R I Z E D!

We did a beautiful bike ride through Pebble Beach to take in the views. So incredible! We even drove right past a family of deer grazing the grass. They weren’t even fazed when we stopped by to snap some pics of them. I don’t see deer very often in San Diego so it was quite an experience to see them grazing right next to the open ocean unbothered by the humans staring in awe.
We ate at some really yummy restaurants during the visit. I had no idea the food in Monterey County was so good. If you are ever in the area, I promise you these places will not disappoint:
1. Seventh & Dolores Steakhouse
3. California Market at Pacific’s Edge (inside the Hyatt)
4. Folktale Winery and Vineyard

It was a great relaxing and yummy trip. I made some new friends, had a relaxing trip, and got to explore more of my home state California. If you guys ever go, don’t forget to check out these spots and keep this post in mind.
P.S. We just got back from Italy and I can’t wait to share my trip with you guys! Stay tuned.
