Tropical Vacay Must Haves
Who wants a Margarita with a side of beach right now? It’s this time of year that we are all dreaming or planning a trip to escape the cold. I myself already had two tropical escapes this winter and I already want to leave again! This posts for those of you who are ready to pack up and leave someone sunny. I put together a list of all Topical vacay must-haves that I never leave without plus a few shoppable links of my favorite finds in each category so you can gear up for your next trip!
NEUTRAL CUTE FLATS (THAT GO WITH EVERYTHING)
I normally take 3 pairs of shoes: Sneakers (to wear to and from airport and on a morning run), Casual beach shoes (that go with everything) and a fashion-forward sandal that can be worn to restaurants and equally on the beach. I tend to stick to neutral colors because that way they will go well with everything and I won’t have to worry about packing an extra pair.
GO-TO STRAW HAT (FOR EXTRA PROTECTION)
Straw hats are essential and the perfect accessory to your beach looks. Extra sun protection is also always very essential! Right now, the frayed edge straw hats are killing it. I always lean towards a natural straw color that will match with everything or white.
A DRESS SET (OR 2)
I always pack a good set or two because they make dressing so much easier. Love how you can separate the top from the bottom and create a few more outfits by combining them with other basics like a white tee or jeans shorts. So easy that you don’t even have to think with this one.
DENIM (THE PERFECT COVER UP)
DENIM DENIM DENIM is so essential. I never go to any beach vacation without some denim. I always take one pair of jeans for the plane and 1 or 2 pairs of jean shorts to easily throw on and off when going to and from a pool or heading out to walk around town. You can easily get a great vacation look by just adding a cute flirty top and the right accessories.
BAG TO WEAR FROM THE STREET TO THE BEACH
A cute straw bag is necessary to take you from chic on the streets to casual and worry free on the beach. I love to take a crossbody (which I typically wear on the airplane) to wear to fancier nights out or walking around town. I also always pack a good stylish beach bag that can easily lay flat in my suitcase and take up as little room as possible.
CHIC ONE PIECE SWIMSUIT
I’m definitely into one piece swimsuits right now. Who knows, maybe its the post-holiday bloat speaking, but I do always pack a good one piece for those days where I just want to feel extra comfortable on the beach. I feel they are so chic and stylish too!
CUTE BIKINI TO SOAK UP THE RAYS
Of course, I never leave without a few bikinis, so I can really lay under the sun and not worry about weird tan lines. I typically change it up every day so that I don’t get the same suntan and keep it all looking even. There are so many cute and chic finds right now!
2 PAIRS SUNGLASSES
This goes without saying. All that sun and no sunnies? I would die. I like to keep it simple and neutral so I don’t have to pack too many. Two is my limit while on vacay. I always pack one black and then another fun colored one.
SUNSCREEN (MOST IMPORTANT ) + A GOOD BOOK
The most important part of all. Skin damage protection. I never leave my house (Even when it’s cloudy and rainy out) without some good sunscreen on. Even if I am wearing a hat, I make sure to carry this around in my bag with me at all times. A good sunscreen for the face is my ultimate must-have while on vacay in a sunny place.
I always make sure to take something with me so I can read while laying on the beach. Here are a few favorites, from non-fiction to self-help, that I have read in the past or am currently reading.
Thanks for reading!
