Trends I wore during NYFW

Trends I wore during NYFW

I asked you guys via IG stories what your favorite thing to see from me during NYFW was. While I did get a lot of  “behind the scenes” and “shows”, overall “street style” was the top answer! I can’t blame ya, I live for seeing everyone’s outfits! There’s just so much inspiration during this time of year.  So here it is, all my outfit details and top trends I wore during NYFW including shoppable links via LiketoKnow.it so you can easily get the look. You can also always shop my outfits that you see via IG by going to “Shop My Outfits” on this blog in the navigation bar.

Corset Inspired Maxi Top with Denim

Corset inspired tops were all over the runways this year! This top is a fun, edgy, affordable version of the trend from Free People. I always love mixing casual denim with flirty edgier pieces so I paired this with ripped denim for a fun play on textures.

90’s Baggy Cargo Denim + Pink hues

Pink was the color I saw every street style star wear outside the shows. In all hues (especially Fuscia). Cargo pants are also back and coming in strong! I wore this look to the Rebecca Minkoff show and went for a bit of a 90’s mixed with 2,000’s  vibe.

Boho Braid with Silk Scarf detail

Scarfs are the perfect way to elevate any outfit and are still very much on-trend. I love the little detail it gives. So many ways to style a good scarf, but I wanted to do something a bit different and braided it into my hairstyle (thanks Paul Mitchell for the hair!).

Basic White Muscle Tank, Gold Chains + Polka Dots.

The 90’s look is not going anywhere anytime soon. Basic white tanks with chunky chains are the perfect staple this year. I love how simple and minimal it is. I wore this tank and chain with so many different outfits but I wore it styled with polka dots and sneakers for a night out with friends after the shows.

Wide Leg Trousers

I wore these wide-legged pants to the Noon by Noor show on my last day. These are pants I borrowed from my mother’s closet paired with an old denim Jacket I had cut and cropped as a top and statement jewelry to spruce it all up. As I wrote in my Top Runway and Street Style Trends post, wide-leg trousers were a big player in the street style game for this NYFW! They are super flattering too so what’s not to love?

Faux leather Biker shorts + Oversized Blazer

The oversized blazer is having such a moment right now. Pair it with a good waist belt or short shorts for a fun look.  The trick is all in the structure of the blazer. I wore this black and white look to the Nicole Miller show.

Knee-High boots

These are the “it” boots I saw everywhere in different prints and colors. This style is so great for fall paired over jeans, with skirts or even a cute short dress. Personally loving all the snakeskin or embossed leather ones.
