Top Sweaters To Invest In For Fall

Fall has officially arrived which means it’s time to dig into our closets for all of our favorite sweaters. As you look through your closet and begin to take out all your best knits, I would also consider investing in a couple of new pieces to update your Fall wardrobe! There is nothing like a comfy go-to sweater for every occasion, whether that be a long flowy cardigan or a chunky knit! Last season I posted about the best sweaters under $100. This time I rounded up all the best sweaters in all different shapes and sizess (both affordable and splurge-worthy) so you guys can shop right from here! Keep on reading to see all the top sweaters to invest in for Fall.

Cardigans

A go-to cardigan is oh so necessary. My favorite way to wear this is with jeans and a white tee or a sexy cami. It’s all about the extra accessories with this one, like the jewelry or bags you decide to wear with it. I’ve added my favorite sweaters from short chunky cardigans to long maxis.

Basic Pullovers

A pullover is always a classic. You can update this look this season by pairing it with a silk midi skirt or over a cute slip dress. I personally like to splurge on a classic one in a good neutral color in a great fabric. This style is always “in” so splurging on the right one is a smart move; it will always go with everything.

Cut-Out + Off the Shoulder

A cut-out or off the shoulder sweater is a great way to get an edgy, sexy look during the colder days. Keep it simple and make sure to have some stand out jewelry to elevate this look. Love the look of a good cut out v-neck with layered necklaces!

Backless

Ahh, backless sweaters, need I say more? This style of sweater always gives a beautiful and unexpected detail. It will look great with some sexy jeans and killer hair details like a good scarf or a pretty boho braid. I also love the idea of pairing it with a  detailed bra that is meant to be seen. A personal favorite sweater bra is this one that comes in so many colors.

Printed or Graphic Sweaters

Stripes, stars, two-toned, chevron or a big logo of your fave designer. A printed or graphic sweater is always a good call! Love that this can give your look a fun, happy vibe. The trick is to make sure you don’t get something that will go out of style too quickly. Make sure the quality is good also so it will last! I love pairing a printed sweater with tall over-the-knee boots or some 70’s style flared jeans.

Chunky Textured Knits

There’s something so satisfying about a good textured knit. So cozy for Fall! I love these because you can wear a very basic outfit and immediately chic it up with just some fun texture. I got an I Love Mr Mittens knit a few years ago and I bust it out EVERY SINGLE year. They are expensive (very, I may add), but it’s worth it for the warmth and longevity. If you don’t want to spend too much though, here’s a more affordable similar version.

Cropped Sweaters

You know I love me a good crop. This style always gives that “cool girl” vibe. It’s always great to pair with high-waisted jeans and heels or with a midi skirt and sneakers. If you are in a slightly warmer climate like Cali for Fall or Winter, cropped sweaters are the way to go!

Go To Hoodies

Hoodies, Hoodies, Hoodies!!! I just want one in every color and style. My favorite type of hoodies are the simple ones that are cozy and have a great cut. Love them when they are cropped, or have cute sleeves, or some other interesting detail. The best part about a hoodie is you can always layer it under a cozy coat or leather jacket for a fun casual layered look.

These are just a few of my latest faves! With all these options you are guaranteed to stay warm and fashionable for the cold months ahead! Happy shopping!
