Chic Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas For All Your Plans

From pumpkin pie to Friendsgiving to much-needed family bonding, I always look forward to Thanksgiving time! I love seeing how everyone spends the holiday because everyone does it SO differently. Some of us get all dressed up only to never leave our living rooms, while some of us eat an early dinner and head to the mall for some Black Friday shopping. But regardless of what your Thanksgiving looks like, the struggle always remains– what the heck should I wear? To make your life a whole lot easier, here are some chic outfit ideas for whatever your Thanksgiving plans are!

FRIENDSGIVING

I love Friendsgiving! It’s the perfect time to get together with friends, have a yummy potluck, drink lots of wine and spend quality time with each other. Since you’re bound to eat one too many plates of food, but also take tons of pictures, your outfit should be chic but also comfy. Think comfy jeans and a festive top or a flowy long-sleeve dress with edgy boots!

EARLY DINNER

Do your plans involve cooking with the family early in the morning, watching football and eating “dinner” before 3 pm? If so, your outfit will probably be more on the casual side. All those cute sweaters you’ve been collecting for fall are totally fair game. Throw on some jeans, booties and some fun earrings to complete the look.

GLAMSGIVING

We all know those families that get all dressed up for Thanksgiving, only to never leave the house. If this sounds about right for your plans, then I’ve got you covered. Play it up with festive fabrics like velvet, faux leather, shiny lurex or a patterned dress with tights. You can also play keep it laid back by adding in a graphic tee.  Don’t forget the heeled booties!

DATESGIVING

Can’t make it home for the holidays, but still have plans for a fancy dinner with your significant other? Leave the uncomfortable jeans at home and go for a sexy and chic two-piece suit, a silk jumpsuit or a long sleeve midi dress. If you really want to keep the jeans, jazz it up with some sexy accessories and a festive blazer or chic top. Glam up the accessories with a statement crystal earring, some strappy heels, and a festive clutch.

DINNER WITH THE IN-LAWS

You’re either super excited for Thanksgiving with your significant other’s parents or you’re dreading it like crazy. Regardless of how you’re feeling, one thing’s for sure– you have to make an impression. Choose something that’s stylish, comfortable and doesn’t feel like you’re trying too hard. A silky midi skirt, sweater and mid-height heel or booties would be perfect. Two other things you can never go wrong with: a cute sweater dress or a long sleeve midi dress and heeled booties!
