It’s finally that time of year – the weather is heating up and everyone’s looking for that perfect summer tan! Spending time at the beach is one of my favorite things to do so having a swimsuit I love to reach for is key. There are tons of different bikini/swimsuit trends this year too – all of which I think go with different body types and modesty levels depending on what your vibe is. I rounded up lots of fun options categorized by style/trend for easy shopping and inspiration. Happy summer lovin’!

High Leg

I think high leg bikini bottoms were a little shocking at first because it’s a style we hadn’t seen in a while, but it’s actually incredibly flattering because it makes all legs look longer! There are definitely some styles that are higher than others, but if you’re looking to elongate, this still is definitely for you! I’m personally a huge fan of the high leg bikini!

Full Coverage

You can never go wrong with full coverage bikini (or mostly full coverage for some of these) bottoms. I totally get that cheeky bottoms aren’t everyone’s thing! I’m really into the retro vibes given off by options like this, which you can find in both one pieces and bikini bottoms. 

Underwire tops

Underwire tops are huge this summer! I’m really loving all the tops I’m seeing with minimal padding and a more supportive underwire. These tops typically have straight straps vs halter/tie around the neck straps, which I’m also a fan of because they’re usually more adjustable. It’s also a style that works for both the larger chested (giving the right amount of support) and smaller chested girls(giving just the right amount of lift and extra shape)! One Piece

Ah, the classic one piece! You really can never go wrong with this no matter what body type you are. I went for some cheeky/high leg as well as some fuller coverage options to give you guys a bit of both worlds. Also really like options with a belt to help define that waist!

Triangle tops

Triangle tops are classic and will always be on-trend! My favorite thing about them is that they give the best tan out there since a lot of the time you can just adjust the straps and tie them different ways to keep the tan moving around. They have evolved a bit over the years, but the foundation is the same and I’m here for it! 

Tie up

The tie up bikini top might be favorite this summer.  Love how fresh, sexy and fun it is. Sure it might make for some crazy tan lines, but how cute is this?! There are too many good options to not give it a try. Love it also paired as a summer top with a cute bucket hat for a cute 90’s vibe. 

Keyhole + Cut outs

Last but certainly not least, I have to touch on the keyhole and cut out trend. I love the peekaboo vibe from these suits think they’re a fun way to spice up any one piece. I also love that these suits can be doubled up as bodysuits with any pants to take it from the beach/pool to the streets.
