3 ways: plain white t-shirt (part 2)

June 19, 2014

Hey guys! The last “3 Ways” post I did was also a white tee, but this is such a versatile piece I wanted to style it three more ways. This time I styled it with a different white tee. I bought this one at Gap years ago. It was not at all the style I was searching for (but it was on sale for $5! It was a loose fitted t shirt dress that was way longer and boxy. I made sure to get an extra large so I could use it off the shoulder. I went home and cut off the bottom half asymmetrically to give it more character and a bit of a drap factor for tucking into jeans and pants.  Anyways, this shirt dress turned casual fitted t-shirt has been my favorite for years!

1. For the first look I styled the white tee with a boyish twist. Some business appropriate houndstooth pants, an over sized vest and added some cap toe Chanel pumps to complete the slight reference to menswear. I love pairing a white tee with statement heels. It’s one of my favorite combinations and such an easy way to dress up yet still look effortless.

Outfit Details: Zara pants , Chanel shoes and bag, Ann Taylor vest (moms closet), Brandy Melville floppy hat (been wanting to upgrade to this one)

2. This look is my favorite because it’s so fresh simple and casual. I styled my top with white denim shorts, cheetah flats and a neon clutch. I put my hair in a messy bun (assuming I’m wearing thins on a hot summer day and want it out of my face!) and trusty over-sized frames. I would gladly wear this any given summers day. White on white is also always a good idea.

Outfit Details: Celine Sunglasses, Zara white denim shorts, Jimmy Choo patent leather clutch (on sale here), Michael Kors belt and cheetah flats

3. For this look I paired the t-shirt with some printed bell bottom pants. I threw on a cross-body bag, some platforms and topped it off with a chunky boho necklace which makes it slightly less boring (even though these pants are anything but boring). This is pretty much my go-to roll out of bed look. These Novella Royale pants are just so comfortable! I love the way this specific tee drapes with these pants. I don’t think a plain crew neck t would look as good unless it was very loose fitted here .

Outfit Details: Novella Royale Pants (similar colors), Child of wild necklace, Michael Kors bag3ways-whitetee4
